Here is a pic of some of my new DIVA friends at the Spring Retreat 2008 in Daytona Beach, Florida. We had a great time at the Baby Boomer Diva RetreatHello, my name is Kathryn. I am on the left with these lovely ladies.

Last year, I made my first long distance trip to Daytona Beach, Florida by myself and after my husband died I thought I needed to. When I arrived we were met by Beverly's husband who picked me and others up for our weekend extravaganza.

We had several classes and the one I enjoyed was by Pam Archer who taught a few crazy women to do Zoomba exercises which consists of several dance moves to a variety of music.

I loved browsing the shops near the hotel and enjoying the ocean front views. While I was there we experienced about 7 or more weddings at the Hilton where I stayed. My roommates, Pam, Rhea and Karen all had a fantastc time getting to know one another.

There also was a marketplace held in one of the conference rooms where many women displayed their wares, cosmetics, foods and clothing. I never really found out where the were located until the weekend was almost over.

Pam had the responsibility of making several flower arrangements which I might add were beautiful. I saw her working by herself and volunteered to help. I couldn't stand to see her working all night. She had her hands full.

Beverly Mahone, our hostess and coordinator did an outstanding job and all we could say was "wow, great job Bev". She had a tv show with a panel of professional women in health, finance and business areas which was done the first nigh I was there.

I hope I can make the next Baby Boomer Retreat. I think it will be held in California.
